Interesting Facts in The Pianist by Roman Polanski-2. World War,Adrien Brody

Most of us have watched the Pianist, an unforgettable movie that everyone knows. It is a kind of  movie that realistically describes the saddest traces of a war on human. In my opinion, the movie is strong enough to prevent the third world war. The film shortly tells the painful situation of Jews who were persecuted by troops of Hitler during the World War II. This film, which received most of the awards in its period, was created by Roman Polanski. In addition, there is also a book which is written by Wladyslaw Szpilman who really lived all of this troubles.

In the film Adrien Brody who is an actor, plays wonderful to Szpilman's character. It is also necessary to mention Adrian Brody's extraordinary acting. Do you know that Adrian Brody had to lose 15 kilogrammes to play in the film?
As a result of his great acting, he was awarded for the Oscar prize.

So, Who was the Wladyslaw Szpilman?

He was born in Poland as a Jewish in 1911. When the Hitler's Army conquested to Poland, he was working as a pianist and the composer in the Warsaw. During the war, he was lost most of his family due to Jewish genocide which was happened by Hitler's army. Since Hitler always defended the greatness of the German race, unfortunately being Jewish was seen as a problem by him and he tried to massacre all of the Jews.

Why did Hitler try to kill all jews?
Basically, Hitler choosed them as the number one target when he reached peak power.
Therefore he held the Jews being responsible for collapsing german economy, he unfortunately killed most of them in concentration camps in defined European cities.

This photo belongs to me and it was taken at the door of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

But Szpilman could succes to survive himself from this hell thanks to his helpful friends.
Then, at the end of the film he was found by german troops, but he could hide himself one of the destroyed houses. Because all off the buildings were left, he couldn't find any eatable things. When he looked for something eatable, he was recognized by german officer and the best scene is started.
Interestingly, after they abruptly encounter with each other, officer doesn't give harm to Szpilman. In contrast to this, he wants Szpilman to play piano which is located in the hall. After following days, he brings some foods for Szpilman.
At the end of the war, Szpilman tried to person who helped him and he even announced this situation on the radio, yet he unfortunately couldn't find the german officer.

When all things are considered, Pianist which is directed by Roman Polanski will be one of the timeless and unmemorable films in history.
