My Sweat Orange Tree - Jose Mauro De Vasconcelos

                   My Sweat Orange Tree

Love is not always a feeling for the opposite gender. My Sweat Orange Tree is one of the greatest books which figures out this sentence wonderfully.
This unique book which is written by Jose Mauro De Vasconcelos, narrates a young boy who discovers the real pain.

              Jose Mauro De Vasconcelos

He was born in Brazil. He was half Portuguese and half Amerindian man. When we take a look into the his life, we can run into many odd decisions in his life. After Jose Mauro De Vasconcelos studied medicine two years, he went to Rio De Jenerio so as to create new life. Then, he worked as a box trainer for two years in this city. He was also interested in agriculture an animal husbandry. I think, engaging these kind of jobs makes him competent in his author life.
Vasconcelos also stated that  he wrote My Sweat Orange Tree is in 12 days. Lastly he died in 1984.

Although this book is among the 100 essential books in Turkey's education curriculum. It is complained by a parent because of slang expressions. We saw this kind of example two years ago with Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.
I want to figure out my ideas for this event by taking a sentence from Nietzsche.
" Devil, that is mentioned in the holly books, is a bigot who teaches you moral lesson in real life".

Being happy in even the smallest things is actually one of the biggest advantages of being a child in the lifetime. Zeze is the best example of this situation. Having a sweat orange tree is actually having a beautiful horse, a friend, a toy .....
The reason why Zeze loves the sweat orange tree so much, is just sweat orange understands Zeze's feelings in his life.
In my opinion, the readers who read this book should compare Zeze's life with their own childhood lives. With this method, people could understand a boy who is 5 years old, if people lived their childhood like this.
In the book one of the strange things is the connection between Zeze and Portuga. Although Zeze swear in order to kill him, he loves Portuga so much after following days even more than his family members.
 So here is the question.
Why Zeze loved Portuga so much?
I think that one of the reasons is, understanding a child by being a child.
Zeze admired Portuga more than Minguinho. A real friend who has a fast car.

When everything is taken into consideration, l wish every child could be happy with tiny and beautiful things like sweat orange tree, but unfortunately such a kind of request is seen impossible in our age.  There is no doubt that My Sweat Orange Tree is also a crucial lesson for families. In addition, we shouldn't judge kids by looking our perspective.
